Brazilian Amyris/Sao Martinho farnesene plant 45% complete

US-based Amyris Inc. in February decided to delay plans to work on a 100 mln litre farnesene plant with its joint venture (JV) partner Sao Martinho SA in Pradópolis, Sao Paulo as it faced scale-up difficulties at other plants.
The JV's SMA Indústria Química plant was initially scheduled to start operations in mid-2012, with the date now delayed by two years.
