New hopes for Greece help spur advance in Brent crude

BRENT crude oil rose 66¢ to $124.78 a barrel on Thursday having earlier touched an intraday high of $125.13 a barrel on hopes that Greece would win enough creditor support to avoid a messy default on its debt and on continuing fears of supply disruptions from Iran.
