ITC FIXES 2012 CBI FUEL ETHANOL IMPORT QUOTA

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has fixed the calendar year 2012 duty-free import quota for fuel ethanol shipments from beneficiary countries under the CBI (Caribbean Basin Initiative) at 906.9 mln gallons, up from 875.4 mln and 739.8 mln in the preceding two years. The annual quota always corresponds to 7% vol. of the US fuel ethanol use during the Oct/Sep period in the prior season.
