New Italian agriculture minister appointed

Italy has a new agriculture minister, centre-right politician Nunzia De Girolamo, who has replaced Mario Catania following the formation of a grand coalition government in the country.
The 37-year-old from province of Benevento has represented Silvio Berlusconi's People of Freedom party (PdL) in the Italian parliament since 2008. A lawyer by trade, she has specialised in labour, trade and bank law.
