Private equity fund buys biodiesel plant in Portugal

Private equity fund ECS Capital purchased biodiesel producer Biovegetal for EUR100 mln, local press reports said. According to F.O. Licht data, the company operates a 100,000 tonne biodiesel plant in Portalegre, Alentejo.
In 2010, ECS Capital has purchased a 50% stake in biodiesel producer Iberol, which operates a 100,000 tonne facility in the Lisbon region.
