ICE introduces circuit breakers for its soft commodities
Wednesday March 21 2012
ICE Futures US parent company IntercontinentalExchange has said it plans to use so-called circuit breakers from next month in its derivative markets for its soft commodity futures to tackle huge price movements.
Introduced this month on some of ICE's foreign exchange and index futures, the new functionality - officially called interval price limit - will come in on April 9 for sugar No.11, coffee C, cotton No.2, cocoa and frozen concentrated orange juice futures.
