Campylobacter-resistant chicken on the horizon

Researchers at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh are working on the creation of a Campylobacter-resistant chicken.
The £1.3 million (€1.6m) research project, funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and poultry breeding company Aviagen, will map genes responsible for resistance to the bacteria with a view to breeding campylobacter-resistant chickens in the future.
