Bunge to partner on maize ethanol plant

BUNGE and Argentine maize exporter Aceitera General Deheza will jointly build a maize-based ethanol plant in Argentina at a cost of 850 million pesos (US$201m).
Known as ProMaiz, the plant in Cordoba will have an annual capacity of 140 000 cubic metres, dramatically increasing production in the country. Output last year stood at 122 000 cubic metres, according to Argentina's production ministry.
