AB InBev loses latest Budweiser ruling

THE European Court of Justice has ruled that AB InBev may not register 'Budweiser' as a trademark in the EU-27, a defeat for the beer giant in its 14 year battle with Czech brewer Budejovicky Budvar.
There have been over 100 court cases between the two companies between 2000 and 2009, with a number still outstanding. It is unclear whether this decision marks the full and final end to all litigation.
