Food Protection Training Institute partners with LSU to train inspectors

The International Food Protection Training Institute, a group partly funded by $1 million from the FY 2010 agriculture appropriations bill to train state inspectors, announced today that it has executed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate with the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training at Louisiana State University.
IFPTI and NCBRT are launching their collaboration with the inaugural delivery of NCBRT's course, "A Coordinated Response to Food Emergencies: Practice and Executions," in Battle Creek, Mich., today and tomorrow, according to a press release from IFPTI. Some 50 members of state and local emergency response agencies are participating.
