Bayer not ready to give in after second GM lawsuit loss

BAYER CropScience has lost a second lawsuit pertaining to losses incurred after genetically modified (GM) rice contaminated commercial grain supplies, but is not ready to concede it will lose all 500 such cases that it will face.
On Friday, a St Louis court ruled Bayer CropScience should pay three farmers $1.5m in damages. A similar case in December cost the company $2m. It faces about 500 more similar cases and its response on the latest one echoed that after the first.
