Brazilian real strengthens against the US dollar

Brazil's real opened stronger against the greenback on Monday, boosted by rising commodity prices.
The real opened at BRL1.719 to the US dollar on the BM&F Bovespa dollar market. The real settled at BRL1.728 on Thursday amid thin trading ahead of the public holiday.
