Pepsi launches stevia-sweetened Next in Australia
Friday September 28 2012
PEPSI is launching a reduced-calorie soda in Australia that uses stevia, the first time that it has used stevia in its eponymous cola. Australia's Pepsi Next is claimed to contain 30% fewer calories than 'regular' Pepsi.
The move follows the launch of Pepsi Next in the US earlier this year (FOODNEWS 15 April 2011). The US version, however, uses a blend of artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup and is lower calorie than the Australian variant.
