USDA provides more time to consider BSE proposed rule
When USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), in March, published a proposed rule on imported beef products that would bring the U.S. in line with standards accepted by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), the last case of BSE was six years in the past (see FCN March 16, 2012, Page 18).
